Do you intend to also add changelog entries or is that for a separate PR? |
Oh, I only checked a few methods, and they already contained the changelog entry + the deprecation warning, so I prematurely assumed it's the case for the rest of the functions. But I'll go through them and check where it's missing. |

Somewhat related is #3897. That one can probably be picked up now that php/php-src#16926 is done. |
